About the Cheerleading Team

Grades:

• Open to any students in 1st-4th grade

Events:

• Prior to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the team cheered for basketball games for TBP's Jefferson and Ledbetter campuses. The team also cheered for our 10th Street Soccer team.
• The team currently participates in parades in the community, and are constantly looking for more ways around school and in the community for our cheerleaders to be involved.

Benefits:

• In this program, students will learn proper stretching techniques, coordination in dance, cheer techniques, and learning the importance of leadership and teamwork.
• Stuents will learn the value of being on a team and motivating others.
• Team members are expected to take their leadership qualities to promote kindness throughout the school.
• This program allows students to socialize with other students in other classes and grade levels in a safe environment after school.

About the sponsors:

• With all of our unique experiences in cheer and dance, we bring our different backgrounds to coach our cheerleaders.
• Ms. Richards was a cheerleader for many years and won a National Championship Competition.
• Mrs. Chumley was a competitive cheerleader for many years and was on the dance team.
• Mrs. Voholetz was involved in dance competitions for many years.
