The Ewing campus is landlocked, leaving no room for expansion or significant renovations to accommodate growth, additional safety enhancements, and general upgrades to current facilities. The Tyler Street campus is completely new inside and large enough to accommodate all of our students and staff at Ewing.  By consolidating with the new Tyler Street campus (Pre-K3 - 4th grade), TBP can provide both Ewing and Tyler Street students with access to state-of-the-art facilities that enhance their learning environment.

Students attending the Ewing campus will start attending the new Tyler Street Campus at the start of the 2025-2026 school year.  Ewing will remain open through the end of the current 2024-2025 school year. The new Tyler Street campus will have a Grand Opening sometime in late Spring.  All TBP staff and students will be invited to attend the Grand Opening and regular tours of the new campus will begin shortly after the Grand Opening.

TBP is committed to maintaining fixed class size caps across all of its DFW-area campuses, including the new Tyler Street campus. These caps, which are tailored to the grade level needs of the student, ensure a superior teacher-to-student ratio compared to traditional ISD schools.

Ms. Baker will be the principal at the new Tyler Street Campus.  To ease the transition, TBP will offer multiple opportunities in late spring and over the summer for parents to meet with and hear from Ms. Baker and other administrators about the new campus. Families will also be invited to tour the new campus on or any time after its Grand Opening.

The Ewing and Tyler Street campuses have a rich history as the epicenter for where TBP began its operations 25 years ago. TBP’s legacy of doing more for students will continue at the new Tyler Street campus, and it will serve as a unifying space for the Titan community in the Bishop Arts area.

TBP is planning for a smooth and complete transition for both students and staff. Annually each spring, TBP invites current staff to continue with the district for the following school year. In spring 2025, this process will allow teachers and staff from both Ewing and Tyler Street to transition to the new Tyler Street campus or explore other opportunities of their choice within the district.

Yes, TBP will continue to provide all current services, including ESL, special education, and other specialized programs, at the new Tyler Street campus.

There is ample capacity for all students currently attending the existing Tyler Street and Ewing campuses. The new Tyler Street campus is designed to be a state-of-the-art facility, offering advanced technology and ample space to enhance the educational experience for all students.  Unlike the Ewing campus, the new Tyler Street campus will also have a large indoor gym, a tornado shelter strong enough to withstand a category 5 tornado, and a state-of-the-art cafeteria with a cooking kitchen so that all students will have improved access to fresh, delicious, and nutritious food for breakfast and lunch.

The new Tyler Street campus features a large, historic gymnasium and ample indoor and outdoor spaces, allowing for an even greater variety of extracurricular activities, including sports, music, and clubs.  One more specific example of this is that TBP is looking forward to welcoming the Dallas Symphony Orchestra Young Musician Program (DSO) to our new Tyler Street campus.  The DSO currently offers a FREE music intensive after school program at TBP’s Ledbetter campus, and TBP hopes to welcome DSO to the new Tyler Street Campus starting in the fall of 2025.

The new Tyler Street campus is approximately 2.4 miles from the Ewing campus, making it a very short trip. Families are encouraged to visit the new campus once it is open to ensure a smooth transition for the start of the 2025-2026 school year.

Yes, TBP is working to establish after-school care programs at the new Tyler Street campus. Details about providers and schedules for the 2025-2026 school year will be announced alongside updates for all TBP campuses.

No, re-application is not necessary. Current Ewing and Tyler Street families will complete re-enrollment packets in April/May 2025, as they have done in the past. TBP's Enrollment Team will automatically update returning students to their new campus, requiring no additional action from parents.

No, and that is a good thing. The new Tyler Street Campus will be self-contained and have new and improved security capabilities not previously available to either the Ewing or Tyler street campuses. An overview of these enhancements will be shared in the future as various construction segments are completed.

TBP recognizes that this is an important question, and staff are currently working to help ensure a smooth transition for all TBP families, particularly those that have students currently attending both the Ewing and Jefferson campuses.  Since campus drop off and pickup times impact more than just the Tyler Street campus, TBP is working on a plan with the goal of being convenient for all Dallas families.
